Our Sunday school began a new quarter today. We are using the Discipleship Junction Talking With God study guide.   Today's lesson was titled: The Day the Sun Stood Still, taking thoughts from Joshua 10.  

...Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel. "O sun, stand still over Gibeon. "  The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. There has never been a day like it before or since.  Joshua 10:12,13

We acted out this amazing day from Joshua together as a class.

Parables of Jesus

A new class series begins this Sunday, June 1st. The class topic is the Parables of Jesus. Nearly a third of Jesus' teachings appear in the form of parables. Jesus often chose to reveal something about the character of God, human beings, and the coming kingdom of God using parables. Understanding what Jesus believed about these things is at the core of understanding his parables.
